Clients often come to me to be coached when they are faced with conflict in the workplace. By the time they arrive they have been dealing with a difficult situation for some time, often many months, and their confidence is at an all-time low. They have tried many different coping strategies, and are desperate for solutions.
My aim is to build their self confidence so they can manage their emotions, whilst improving the cooperation between themselves and the other party. The first step is to recognise the different strategies they have been using and understand which is the most effective strategy to use.
Over the next few days I will be giving examples of the five personal communication strategies, and how understanding each strategy helps to reduce conflict situations.
